SOLD Scarce example of late 18th century string gnomon sundial made most likely in Bavaria Germany. The uniquely painted paper face shows the hour dials, latitudes and on the back of the case has a list of the cities with the corresponding latitudes. The body of the sundial is made wood and paper. The condition of the sundial is good, some wear and tear is present on the dial and some paper sections are wared off and the string gnomon is missing.
