Excellent example of a miniature bimetalic medical thermometer made in England in the late 1800’s. The thermometer shows the temperature in Fahrenheit  and Celsius degrees and goes from 70F to 110F and 20C to 43C. There is a red sign on the dial at 98.2 degrees Fahrenheit .The wonderful thermometer has a enamel face and most likely silver body. Because of the high sensitivity the thermometer has a locking pin to preserve the measured body themperature.
The condition of this item is excellent. Has minimal wear and tear. Maybe the holding ring was replaced over time. Dimensions of the protective case: 30mm diameter and 10mm depth. The thermometer face is just 28 mm diameter and 8 mm thick.
