SOLD Featured below is a rare example of genuine sextant used by explorers for navigation on the sea. This is an excellent brass 7 inch radius sextant made by Pioneer Instrument Division of Bendix Aviation Corporation New Jersey USA in 1943 for US Navy. The device has most of the parts in place: a silvered scale divided 0-140, index arm with micrometer drum scale and tangent-screw with clamp, one telescope, one gray sun shade, one gray horizon shades, one index and one horizon  mirror, Bakelite  handle and a nice mahogany veneer  case. In case are some extra accessories: two screwdrivers, 2 replacement mirrors and a small adjusting tool. The case has some wear and tear due to the age. Excellent addition to your collection of navigational instruments.
