This is an excellent example of a pocket sundial most likely in made in France in the last quarter of 1800's. The device was made to be used at latitude 38 degree for Lisbon Portugal. The compass face has french cardinal points and a side locking system and a wonderful silver color hour gnomon. The case is made of light wood with some minimal wear and tear. Dimensions of the dial: 60 mm diameter and 19mm height and 70 mm x 68 mm wood case.
