SOLD This is an antique pocket barometer altimeter, thermometer and compass weather station used by explorers and travelers from late 1800s until early 1900s. Comes with a rare original instructions leaflet containing information's about the maker or retailer “ Manufacture Francaise D’Armes et Cycles de Saint-Etienne”. The three separate instruments are fully functional: the barometer scale goes from 56-79 Torr and the rotating altimeter scale ranges from 0 to 2400 meters adjusted by the rotating bezel and calibrating screw behind the case. The thermometer shows the temperature in Celsius degrees and goes from -10C to 50C. The wonderful compass has a nice locking knob situated in the middle of the case, blue still needle, a dark jewel stone and black and silver face with French cardinals. The burgundy leather and satin case is in excellent condition with the functional locking system. Dimensions: 110 mm X 85 mm X 26mm when closed.
