This is an excellent pocket sundial in hunter style case made most likely by the well-known French manufacturer Houlliot between 1920s-1930s. The device was made to be used between latitudes 40 and 60 degree - this information is engraved on the adjustable blade gnomon with a bird looking pointer inspired by the antique Butterfield sundials. The case is made of nickel covered brass with some minimal tear and wear.Dimensions of the dial: 50 mm diameter and 14 mm height.
