Zero Stock- Antique Weeden Steamboat Standard No 1
SOLD- Rare example of toy live steam engine Weeden Steamboat Standard No.1. The boat is in very good condition with some wear and tear due to the age. Was made between 1918 and 1933. The way how the brass boiler is attached to the hull of the boat make me think this boat is an early version. The boat has a torpedo type hull made of thin with a hidden reservoir for the burner attached under the boiler and original gray color. The piston still moves freely and is attached to a nice tree blade propeller. On the bottom of the hull there are still visible the markings: “WEEDEN Trade Mark IG U.S. Patent 01”. Only the boiler chimney was lost in time. Dimensions: 14 ½ inches long and 4 inches wide.
