SOLD    Featured below is a fine example of a pocket surveying compass made by well known scientific instruments maker W. & L. E. Gurley from Troy New York in the late 1800’s. The compass has a 4 1/2 inch silvered face with a 3 1/2 inch  compass needle, two green level bubbles and two folding sights. The body of the compass is in very good condition. Has just a few spots of oxidation on the sides and face. The original mahogany case is excellent. The staff mounting is missing. Compass  face has 4 1/2 inches diameter and the wooden case is 7 x 6 x 1 1/2 inches.     SOLD
