This is an excellent example of a pocket floating card compass most likely made by well known compass maker Stockert from Germany in early 1900's. The compass is made of nickel covered brass and has a paper floating card ( with German cardinal points). Dimensions: 78 mm diameter and 20 mm height. The outside compass case has some of wear and tear due to the age.The compass is very light for the size most likely made as a survival tool on a small vessel.
