Zero Stock-Antique Single Draw British Navy Telescope J Sewill Liverpool

SOLD Excellent example single draw tapered achromatic brass telescope made by well known scientific instrument maker J. Sewill Liverpool in the last quarter of 1800’s. The telescope focuses well  pushing in (an inch)  the first draw. The telescope has a 48 mm object lens and is 24 inches closed and 31 inches opened. The telescope has some wear and tear due to its age, and is missing the leather cover. The brass has an excellent patina. The telescope comes with an aftermarket wood display stand.
