SOLD -This is an excellent  pocket sundial in hunter style case made in France in the last quarter of 1800's. The device was made to be used between latitudes 40 and 55 degree - this information is engraved on the hour dial and on the adjustable blade gnomon with a bird looking pointer inspired by the antique Butterfield sundials. The compass face has french cardinal points and a side locking system.  The case is made entirely of nickel-silver or German silver with some minimal wear. Dimensions of the dial: 60 mm diameter and 18 mm height.
