Zero Stock - Antique Nautical Floating Card Compass Made by Berry Mackay Aberdeen Scotland
SOLD This is an excellent example of a floating card compass made by an Scothish instruments maker Berry Mackay Aberdeen in the last quoarter of 1800’s. The compass is encased in unusual zinc metal case. This particular piece has wonderful paper floating card (5 inches diameter). The paper card was made by Andrew Gibb & Co Aberdeen. Dimensions: 5 1/2 in diameter and 3 inch height. The outside compass case was recently polished and covered with shellac by a fellow collector. Excellent display piece.
