Antique mini library telescope made in the last half of 1800’s In England. The telescope is very practical and portable because folds in a nice wooden box 8 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches and is just 26 oz the stand is very compact, the legs tuck in the main barrel can be taken even on the boat or sightseeing trips. The telescope stand has a wood screw in device to be attached to an wooden boat or patio. Has two eye pieces one for terrestrial use about x15 power and one for astronomical use about x25-30 power with a dark red filter for sun. The telescope is made of brass and leather cover. A few restorations were made over the years, the leather cover and the side of the box was restored and the dust cover from the telescope is missing. The telescope is a pocket size one is just 6 in closed and 16 opened and has 28 mm object lens. The telescope focuses well and has nice patina. Excellent display item and an ultimate travel gadget.
