SOLD Antique library telescope made by E Vion Paris and sold by a well known American scientific instruments dealer Andrew J Lloyd from Boston in 1920-1930
The telescope is very practical because folds in a nice wooden box 17 x 5 x 3 inches and is just 6.5 LB , the stand is very compact, the legs tuck in the main barrel can be taken even on the boat or sightseeing trips. Has two eye pieces one for terrestrial use about x25 or x30 power and one for astronomical use about x100 power with a dark filter for sun.
The telescope is made of brass covered with black and white enamel paint, with minimal wear and tear. A small restoration of the paint present on the main barrel near the tripod attachement.
Dimensions : 29 in open, 16 in closed and 50mm object lens.
