A early aviation altimeter Barograph made by Jules Richard Paris in 1929. The interior of the device incorporates an aneroid movement with two capsules and works up to 6000 m. The 48 hour mechanical clock movement has a nice cylinder platform escapement and a lightweight aluminum body. The mahogany case has 4 hooks for hanging on the top and four hooks on the bottom to damp the vibration produced by the plane. The device comes with original advertising paper from the period. The barograph is in very good condition with some wear and tear due to the age. Dimensions: 71/2” x 5” x 4”.
Scarce example of early aviation history!
