SOLD Excellent example of Abney reflecting level and compass made by well known surveying instruments maker Keuffel & Esser from New York in 1920-1930. This is a simple type of sextant for measuring vertical angles on land and air with artificial horizon is used by military for artillery, surveyors, engineers and cartographers. The Abney reflecting level comes with a small compass with 35 mm dial, Jacob staff mount and a original leather case. Dimensions: 5 x 2 x 1 inches.Excellent condition for the age. The leather case has some wear and tear and the inscription of the name of the previous owner.
