SOLD. This is a nice example of surveyors or miners compass made in France. The device is equipped with a side locking system for the compass, a black dial, a compass needle rested on a red stone and two sighting vanes. The case is made of brass with some minimal wear and tear. Dimensions of the compass 78 mm diameter and 18 mm height and the case dimensions are 100 mm x 100 mm x 40 mm. The device comes in a wonderful mahogany wood case in excellent condition.
