SOLD Scarce example of antique tin windup clockwork gunboat made by well known French toy maker Georges Carette & Co. from Nuremberg Germany. This is one of the early ships made by Carette before 1917. The ship size is just 7 1/2 inch length body. The condition is good for the age , The original paint is missing and maybe the rudder and original flag. Still a very desirable toy with the nice patina and original gunner and deck gun. The windup mechanism still works and has a smooth action. Excellent addition to your antique toy collection.
