Scarce example of brass pocket drum microscope model 40 made Bausch & Lomb Optical Co Rochester NY USA in mid 1920's. The microscope is made of brass and has nice black enameled finish. Is a push and pull draw tube type microscope with magnification range between 60-250 power and fine focus made by the central focusing ring. The instrument collapses in a in a very compact size from 9 inches height open to 5 1/4 inches x 2 3/4 inches x 2 inches. The microscope has a nice patina and the only missing part is the mirror. The device comes with a leather pouch. Excellent display item !!!
