SOLD Featured below is genuine vintage sextant used by explorers for navigation on the sea. This is an excellent 6 inch radius sextant made by Tamaya CO LTD Tokyo Japan 1949 serial No 4264. The device has all the parts in place: a good scale divided 0-120, index arm with micrometer, two excellent telescopes , four sun shades, three horizon shades, one index and one horizon mirror, two eye filters and original adjusting screw driver. The original wood case has a small crack on the top. Case size 11x 12 x 7 inch.
The device will make an excellent addition to your collection of early navigational instruments.
