Good example of antique compass made by well known scientific instruments maker Short & Mason for Taylor Rochester New York. The compass has a nice silvered face with a blue steel compass needle resting on a nice stone. The compass condition is very good with a bit of dust the case. This compass is an usual one does not have a locking mecanism, most likely made to be watertight. Dimensions: 44 mm diameter and 8 mm height.
