SOLD This is a late 19th century prismatic compass and clinometer combo made by the well-known scientific instruments maker J.J. Hicks from Hatton Garden London. The compass has a nice green paper dial, sighting prism and a locking system.The body of the compass is made of brass and is in excellent condition.
The second device showcased is a drum clinometer made by the same maker – JJ Hicks. The case is made of brass and glass and specific engravings are present on the lacquered section "Watkins Clinometer Patent 217 No 4280". This item excellent condition with some wear and tear due to the age. These two items as sold together as a combo in original leather case and red velvet liner. Dimensions of each devices: 72 mm diameter and 15 mm height.
