SOLD This is a rare pocket altimeter barometer made by the well-known scientific instruments maker La Filotecnica Milano. This piece was made in the early 1900s by Angelo Salmoiraghi who was the lead engineer at Filotecnica Milano Italy. The altitude barometer dial goes from 79-53 mm/mercury or torr and the altimeter scale from -500 to 2900 meters adjusted by a bezel. The fine calibration is made by a small screw on the back of the device. The body of the altimeter is made of brass and is in excellent condition. The original leather satin and velvet case is in excellent condition . Dimensions: 50 mm diameter and 15 mm height.
