Scarce example of rare acetylene lantern made by The Toledo Acetylene Lantern Co. USA in early 1900's . The lantern is made of a nice combination of nickel covered brass, brass and iron wire. The top water control level and flame adjuster still works. Inside the original glass globe marked " High Speed M.E.G Co (Macbeth -Evans), the flame tip and one of kind striker is present and functional. The carbide chamber still has the original clamping screw, and internal accessories. The lantern is in excellent condition for the age with minimal wear and tear. Great display item with nice patina.
