A good example of small size six draw nickel covered brass telescope made In England in the last quarter of 1800s. The telescope focuses clear from the second draw following the eye piece. Has a nice combination of nickel covered draws and a small section of brass barrel. The telescope most likely had a leather cover in the past. Dimensions: 18 inch span when opened and 5 inch when closed and 32 mm object lens. Due to its compact size the device had many users, from the boat captain, cavalry officer or early explorer. The telescope has some minimal wear and tear and some of the nickel covering was lost over time. Excellent for sightseeing and hiking.
